One of the most effective ways to create a happy working environment is through behaviour. Mainly behaviour exerted by the boss or rather an organisation leader. It is vital to note that there are different kinds of leaders that can influence the level of happiness in a work environment, but for the purpose of this article only two will be considred. That is Charasmatic and Autocratic leader

The former is a leader who portrays kindness, hence the word charisma which is an ancient Greek word meaning 'grace, kindness and life'. An example of a charismatic leader includes people like Nelson Mandela. The latter is a leader that dictates policies and demands things to be done in their own way. An example of autocratic leader includes people like Adolf Hitler

A happy working environment is one in which the boss / leader encourages, inspires and motivates the employees and they act as a role model to them. The leader should invest in the employee's professional growth and not restict their opporitunities and making them remain stagnant. Other ways to create a happy working environment is through exercising positive reinforcement. According to B.F Skinner who is the proponent of positive psychology, positive reinforcement has an impact of making sure that a desirable stimulus reinforces behaviour, making it more likey that the behaviour will reouccur. Exercising positive reinforcement is a way of shwowing appreciation to the employees. This will boost their enthuasiasm and confidence and it help them stay happy.

Ensuring a happy environment includes, regular celebrations of achievements, fun days, happy hours at the work place, specific treats etc. This improves the employeee and employer's trust and bonding and it also plays a role in reducing work stress if there is any and thus bringing in a fresh mind with new ideas, which subsequently increases productivity. Antother thing to note is that happiness is contagious. A happy boss automatically transmits the happy aura to their employees. It all starts with a mere smile!
