Stress is an inevitable part of life which can be caused by intrinsic and extrinsic factors. Intrinsic factors are those that arise within an individual (internal) such as psychological disorders and extrinsic factors are those taht arise from the environmental (outside) such as cultural influences. Understand what stress really is can help us to be able to identify it and be able to have ways to relieve it. According to Hans Selye who is the father of stress research, Stress is simply defined as : "A non-specific response of the body to a demand".

In this modern day of improving technology, stress rapidly progresses due to the demands that come with the modern lifestyle and this is because human beings live to satisfy needs. When these needs are not met, stress arises. Hence it is often said that stress is inversly proportional to satisfaction. Fortunately enough, there are proven ways that help with the relief of stress. This is an effort to minimise the way in which we perceive the demands we are facing.
